Director of Operations
Mr. Philip N.O. Nortey is a Ghanaian and resident in Accra, the capital city of Ghana.
He started his working life with WILEB Mining Supplies Limited, a mining explosives/accessories supplies company in Ghana and worked as Administrative/Operations Officer for 10 years.
He is the main person behind setting up West Coast Explosives after ending his career with WILEB. After successfully setting up West Coast Explosives, he decided to diversify. He entered banking and insurance, then later into logistics where he worked with Trade and Logistics Africa (TLA) in Tema, Ghana.
After some time with TLA, he decided to go solo to set up his own business. He met his partner, Mr. Robert Jorge Pereira during this time when he visited the Republic of South Africa for a business in Cashew, Maize, and other agricultural products including fertilizers. During this time, he and his partner decided to add trading of Ammonium Nitrate Porous Prills (ANPP) technical grade, which is an accessory of explosives to their line of business and have been doing this successfully.
Mr. Nortey holds a BSc. Business Administration (Human Resource Option) from the African University College of Communications (A.U.C.C). He also holds a Diploma in Management of Information Systems and Certificates in A+ and Network+. He has over 20 years of experience in general administration, human resource management and general operations in business. He has travelled a few places around the world including Turkey, South Africa, Togo, Benin, Ivory Coast, and Nigeria.
